Nothing polishes a glowing disposition quite like a bright spring day. Unseasonably warm weather has seemingly pushed cold, gray, inclement days, and their inherent challenges behind us.
And with nature’s annual re-birth, we are provided with opportunities to embrace new beginnings in our own lives. To that end, Mindfulness-Matters is presenting three MBSR offerings starting in March, featuring two independent MBSR courses, and for the first time, online continuing practice / coursework for MBSR graduates.
No-Fee Introductory Course
Discover the advantages and benefits of integrating mindfulness into your life through MBSR. Accept this invitation to join us 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Sat., March 19, 2016 for a free MBSR introductory session.
The no-fee introductory session provides participants an overview of the eight-week MBSR course and is required so each person can make a well-informed decision about engaging in the work at this time in their lives.
Preregistration for the free introductory session is required and may be made by Thurs., March 16, 2016. The session will be conducted at the Sastun Center of Integrative Health Care, 10875 Grandview St., Overland Park, KS 66210.
If unable to attend the introductory session, call me at 913.789.9696 to schedule a consultation.
Two MBSR Courses Offered
Later this month, March 2016, we will offer two independent sessions of the MBSR curriculum for your convenience. One course will be conducted on Saturday mornings, the other Monday evenings.
The Saturday course launches on March 26, and will meet 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. every Saturday through May 14. The Monday evening course starts March 28 and convenes 6 to 8 p.m. through May 16.
Both courses include an all-day retreat on Sunday, May 1, 2016.
The Saturday sessions will meet at Sastun Center of Integrative Health Care; Monday’s courses will meet in Fairway, KS – the specific address will be provided at the introductory session on March 19.
The MBSR eight-week course tuition is $495. The fee for MBSR courses includes all materials, daylong retreat and support between sessions. Limited tuition assistance is available for those with verified financial hardship.
As space is limited, and we expect both sessions to sell-out, no refunds are provided once the courses begin.
Interactive, Continuing MBSR Education Online – We Are Always Beginning Again
It’s no secret to those familiar with MBSR that it is extremely helpful to have a mindfulness community with which to practice. We can all use some support and encouragement along the way. One may fall off or get stuck for numerous reasons but the practice always is about beginning again, no matter where you are with it! this reason, Mindfulness-Matters will offer a live, online continuation group this spring for graduates of MBSR.
The online venue will be one in which we can all see one other and speak to each other in real time.
Weekly sessions will be about an hour; we’ll discuss a topic relating to mindfulness for 30 minutes and practice together for an additional 30 minutes. This program will be offered in twelve-week sessions.
The interactive online continuation course will start 7 to 8 p.m., March 29 and meet every other week on Tuesday evenings for a total of six sessions. You can register by emailing me at Lisa@Mindfulness-Matters.com. Space is limited. Tuition is $75.
Whether in person, or virtually, I look forward to seeing you this spring.
